America was facing a housing shortage and a baby boom. The American dream of a home with modern luxuries like a refrigerator and a new black-and-white TV on which to watch I Love Lucy was in peril. There weren’t enough homes for the next generation of American families.
We turned to the cornerstone of our modern life: factory production. Pretty quickly, mobile homes started coming off production lines. These homes were shipped across the 48 states to families waiting for their turn to settle down and settle in to their new communities.
Skyline was there in the beginning. While the mobile home of yesteryear is far behind the cutting-edge work of Skyline, they don’t forget why they do what they do.
